The Mount of Olives, overlooking Jerusalem Old City

This morning in Jerusalem, we traced the steps of Jesus on the evening before his death, visiting the Garden of Gethsemane where Jesus prayed and the home of Caiphus, the high priest, where Jesus was held and beaten, including the courtyard where Peter denied knowing Jesus three times.

There is a pit below Caiphus’s house where Jesus was held, and in the pit we joined with another group from a PCA church from Athens, GA and read Psalm 88 together. Read it now here and envision recalling these words in a dark dungeon the night before Jesus’ death.
