Red Bag Campaign Drop-Off

(Due to Hurricane Irma, the drop-off date for this month has been moved to Sept 24.) Pick up a bag on the first Sunday of the month, fill it with groceries and bring it back the second Sunday. It's that simple to feed hungry families in our city!

September 24, 2017 9:00am To September 24, 2017 12:00pm

You can care for those in need through our simple program, the Red Bag Campaign, in collaboration with Seminole County Public Schools. There are 30-40 Families in Transition (FIT) at Hamilton Elementary in Sanford, and your donations every month through the Red Bag Campaign supplies food over the weekend for these families.

We can reflect Christ’s love and provision for us as we provide for these families in need. Pick up a red grocery bag on the first Sunday of every month, fill it with non-perishable food items (a shopping list is attached to the bag) and bring it back to Orangewood on the second Sunday of the month. We’ll deliver the items to Hamilton Elementary, where their 5th grade student leaders will help prepare weekend food packages for the Families in Transition.

If you have any questions about the Red Bag Program, or would like to volunteer to help with collection and delivery details, contact our director of small groups, Larry Shingler.
