About Jennie

Jennie oversees Orangewood’s counseling ministry and serves in communications across a variety of media platforms. Originally from Miami, Jennie holds a Bachelor’s degree in English, Religious Studies, and Film from Florida International University and a Master’s Degree in Counseling from Reformed Theological Seminary. Prior to joining staff at Orangewood, Jennie worked at RTS and Pathway Learning ministries as a media content creator while pursuing her seminary studies and fighting a debilitating chronic illness.

During her time in seminary, Jennie had the opportunity to speak and teach at different churches, conferences, and retreats, sharing from her experiences with suffering, and has taught on gender and sexuality. She is passionate about working with individuals who have suffered long-term complex relational trauma and those burdened by gender distress and sexual brokenness.

Her Cuban background and time growing up in Miami have shaped her to have a multicultural perspective when it comes to counseling, along with her experience working with clients from a variety of ethnic backgrounds. If you’re interested in counseling or simply setting up an initial consultation, please contact Jennie below.
