Q&A with Jessie Anderson, our new Student Ministry Coordinator
Hey Jessie! We’re so happy to have you on staff with us as our new Student Ministry Coordinator! Can you tell us a little bit more about yourself?
What drew you to Orangewood?
The people! The congregation is warm and welcoming and the staff is awesome!
What are you excited about for your new role?
I am just excited to meet students and be a part of what God is doing in the student ministry department at Orangewood.
What were you doing before you came to Orangewood?
I was a PE Teacher and Lacrosse Coach
Where are you from?
I grew up in Winter Springs, Florida
Tell us a little bit about your family:
I have been married to my husband Davis Anderson for 3 years now, we love to travel and adventure together. He keeps me laughing and has been a steady support system for me. I owe so much to my parents, Pete and Caron Alwinson, they raised me to know and love Jesus by continually pointing me to the cross and showing me grace time and time again.
Favorite food?
Probably mexican food
Favorite place to eat?
CAVA for something quick. Rocco’s Italian for a special occasion

Binge watching Survivor
Favorite author?
I don’t think I have a favorite author but the one I have read the most is probably John Maxwell

Hidden talent:
I am pretty good at doing many different voices and accents
Fun fact:
I did a student ministries internship at Orangewood back in 2016 so it’s fun to be back again working with the youth here!
