Meet our new Summer Intern, Alex Simpson!
We have three interns joining our Student Ministry team for the summer—next up is Alex Simpson!
As she looks ahead to summer with student ministry, she’s most excited to witness how the Lord will move in students’ lives this summer. “I’m so grateful for the opportunity to walk alongside them and support them in their paths with Christ,” she shares.

Throwback: Alex attending Student Ministry
Alex’ Background:
Born and raised in Altamonte Springs, FL, Alex is currently studying at Florida State University with hopes of becoming a PA in the Army.
Alex has been part of the Orangewood family for years, attending with her mom and finding a deep sense of belonging here.
Family is a huge part of her story. She describes her mom as her best friend: “We love going on adventures, watching Hallmark movies, and laughing over little things. She’s a beautiful woman and a lovely role model.”

A few fun facts:
Looking for good vibes and good eats? Try out Alex’s favorite local place, Pickles NY Deli, where you can find her enjoying both the live music and the delicious food.
Alex also shares her love for collecting mini items and a passion for sparring— she has a third-degree black belt in Taekwondo!
She loves the timeless mysteries of Agatha Christie, enjoys everything from classical to folksy Christian music (especially Josiah Queen’s Fishes and Loaves), and can even juggle (kind of!).
We’re thrilled to have Alex on our team this summer! If you see her around, be sure to say hello—and maybe ask her about her favorite tiny item in her collection.
