Arise & Go: Sometimes boldness starts right at your locker…
A Shirt. A Hallway. A Choice.
She didn’t expect bravery to look like cotton and ink. At The Space—Orangewood’s youth group—we spend a lot of time playing silly games, like Mummy Wrap! Students raced to cover their teammate, head to toe, in toilet paper, earning themselves major bragging rights, big laughs, and a fun prize!
This middle schooler, pictured below, won a prize for her mummy-wrapping skills, and she chose a T-shirt that read in big, clear letters: JESUS LOVES YOU.

Working hard to earn that prize!
The next day, she wore it to her public school. Just like Jonah, she could’ve run the other way. But instead, she walked into the hallway unashamed, carrying a message bigger than herself. Sometimes “Arise & Go” starts right at your locker.
Her mom, Emely, shared:
“It is such a joy to be her mom and to watch the boldness God has placed in her. From a young age, she hasn’t been afraid to stand firm in her faith and to share the love of Jesus with others…”

Wearing her brand new shirt boldly at school the next day!
Emely continued:
“Watching her lean into who God has made her to be inspires me daily, and it’s a reminder that God is at work in and through her in many beautiful ways!”
We love to see our students engaging with and inviting others into this life-changing story of Jesus! What a reminder to all of us that sometimes our bold challenge is not across the world, but right at our locker, our desk, or our dinner table….
