Q&A with Noah Larsen, our new Student Ministry Summer Intern
Johannah Huber

Meet Noah 🏃‍♂️🎮

We’re excited to introduce another one of our Summer Student Ministry Interns: Noah Larsen!

Noah first found Orangewood through Reformed Theological Seminary, but after meeting staff members and watching sermons online, he quickly realized there was something special about the culture and heart of the church.

“The culture and message of the church was so fun and serious about faith,” Noah shared.

Now, Noah is joining Student Ministry this summer with a passion for investing in students and sharing the gospel in meaningful ways.

“I love working with students. Not only do I get to have fun for a job, but I get to share the gospel!”

🎓 Life Lately

Noah is currently a student at Western Michigan University, where he also works at a restaurant and serves as a Youth Pastor intern.

This summer, he’s excited to continue growing in ministry while building relationships with students through camps, events, and all the chaos and fun that comes with summer in Student Ministry.

❄️ A Little About Noah

Noah is originally from Kalamazoo, Michigan — which he jokingly describes as “a pretty boring city in Michigan.”

He comes from a close family that keeps life interesting. His mom works as a nurse, his dad works at Veterans Affairs, and he has both a fiery 19-year-old sister and a 7-year-old brother who “always keeps him busy.”

Between ministry, school, work, and family life, Noah brings a lot of energy, humor, and intentionality into everything he does.

🍣 Noah’s Quick Hits

Favorite Food: Sushi… although a good filet mignon is hard to beat

Favorite Restaurant: A local Chinese buffet called Ten-Ten

Guilty Pleasure: Playing way more video games than homework probably allows

Favorite Authors: C. S. Lewis and Paulo Coelho

Favorite Book: The Alchemist

Favorite Music: Mumford & Sons and Benjamin William Hastings

🏃‍♂️ Outside of Ministry

Noah says one of his hidden talents is writing, but honestly, the most impressive thing might be his running resume.

He’s completed three marathons and one half marathon — which he promises hurts exactly as much as everyone says it does.

When he’s not running, working, or serving in ministry, there’s a decent chance he’s playing video games instead of doing homework.

❤️ Looking Ahead to Summer

Noah is excited to spend the summer building relationships with students, creating fun memories, and helping students grow deeper in their faith and understanding of the gospel.

We’re excited to have Noah serving with Student Ministry this summer! If you see him around, be sure to say hello — and maybe ask him about marathon training, Michigan winters, or his current favorite video game.
