A CHURCH FOR ALL

CUF Mission: Extend the Kingdom of God by making disciples in Orlando and beyond

This season, we are partnering with the PCA Unity fund to advance minority-led ministry through our Thanks:Giving giving opportunity. A portion of the funds raised will be given to our friends at Christ United Fellowship (CUF). Mike and Lucy Aitcheson, Lead Pastor and co-laboring wife, envision their ministry as a gospel-centered diverse church where anyone is welcome to come experience, be transformed, and share the love of Christ.

Here’s a little bit about Mike and Lucy Aitcheson:

I graduated from the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor of Science in Social Work, then attended Reformed Theological Seminary from 2007-2011. Lucy and I got married during my time in seminary, then moved down to Orlando after Lucy was offered a job at Winnie Palmer Hospital.

After receiving a provisional recommendation, we joined the staff at Lake Baldwin Church as a church planting apprentice family (2012-2014). It. was during that time in April 2013, that I was ordained as a Teaching Elder in the PCA.

Our passion for building a gospel-centered diverse church developed from our experiences and the unique gifts that God has given us. I grew up as a bi-cultural kid in Miami-Dade County, where I was exposed to many different walks of life. I started multiple bible studies from high school through seminary and have had people and starting new things has been a part of my story.

Lucy has a missionary heart and the Lord has used her since high school for missions. In college, she gathered people routinely for church along with participating in foreign medical missions. She has served in Kenya, Guatemala, and Haiti immediately following the 2010 earthquake. She currently works for Middleton Pediatrics as a Nurse Practitioner.

We believe the Lord has shaped us through our life experiences to plant a gospel-centered diverse church that reflects our great community of Orlando. Our strive is to create a kingdom outpost where anyone is welcome to come experience, be transformed by, and share the love of Christ.

We are passionate about this vision because it is true of the church universal and is certainly a reflection of the consummate gathering when Jesus returns! Our hope is to have a microcosmic expression of the great day! — Pastor Mike Aitcheson
