Holy Week at Orangewood Church

Holy Week is the most significant week in the Christian calendar. It marks the final days of Jesus’ life: from His arrival in Jerusalem, to His crucifixion on the cross, and ultimately to His resurrection from the dead on Easter Sunday. It is a week that tells the heart of the gospel story.

Join us this Holy Week as we walk through these final days of Jesus’ life and celebrate the victory of His resurrection, all through the lens of grace.

From Palm Sunday’s humble King who comes in mercy, to Easter’s empty tomb that declares death defeated, we’ll discover that grace is not just a sentiment, but God’s powerful action for us in Christ.

Come and encounter the King of Grace and celebrate the Triumph of Grace, because sin, shame, and death do not have the final word. Jesus does.

How we care for your kids!

This Easter, we would love to welcome your family—whether it’s your first time in church or you’ve been coming for years! Our kids’ environments are designed to be fun, safe, and meaningful for every age. In OKids, we exist to welcome children into the life-changing story of Jesus—helping them find community, worship, and learn in ways that make sense for their age, while building a foundation of faith that can last a lifetime.

· OKids Nursery is available for babies through 3 years old
· OKids Jr. is for Pre-K and Kindergarten
· OKids Worship is for 1st–5th grade

We also know safety matters to you. That’s why we have secure check-in and check-out processes, along with security guards on-site, so you can feel confident your child is in good hands.

We can’t wait to celebrate Easter with you and your family!

An Invite from Pastor Tyler

Many of us come into Easter carrying exhaustion, grief, disappointment, or quiet questions about whether anything can really change. The good news of Easter is that Jesus meets us there. His resurrection isn’t just a miracle to admire, but it’s a promise that a new life is possible for real people with real pain. It tells us that forgiveness is stronger than our failures, that love is stronger than death, and that God is still at work when we feel stuck.

At Orangewood Church, our heart is simple: to invite every person into the life-changing story of Jesus. Easter is the climactic moment in that story. It is the moment when death is defeated and everything changes. Not in a fairytale way, but in the middle of a weary, complicated, often broken world like the one we’re actually living in.

If you’re longing for hope and a story big enough to hold your whole life, we would love for you to join us this Easter. Come experience the story that changes everything and discover how the life of Jesus can begin to shape your life, too. We would love to have you.

Frequently Asked Questions

What should I wear?

Come as you are! Some people dress up for Easter, while others come in more casual clothes. You’ll see a mix of styles, so wear whatever makes you comfortable.

What is the service like?

Our Easter service includes worship through music, prayer, and a message from the Bible centered on the hope of Jesus’ resurrection. The service typically lasts about an hour.

Is there something for kids?

Yes! We offer safe and engaging programming for children during the service. Our Children’s Ministry provides age-appropriate teaching and activities while parents attend worship. See above note from our Children’s Ministry Director.

What if I’ve never been to church before?

You are absolutely welcome here. Easter is a great time to visit, whether you’re exploring faith, returning to church after some time away, or simply curious. No prior church experience is expected.

Where do I go when I arrive?

Our main entrance is under the brick bell tower: going through the doors, you can look for our  Welcome Table when you arrive. Our team would love to say hello, answer questions, and help you find where to go for worship or children’s programming.

Where should I park?

Our parking lot is open for all: we have handicapped parking near the front entrance, as well as visitor parking parallel to the building. Feel free to park anywhere!
