Join Discovering Orangewood, our membership course that explains who we are, what we believe, and how you can become a member of our church family.
Discovering Orangewood is our membership class, which provides an in-depth look at Orangewood’s beliefs and church structure, as well as the privileges and responsibilities of membership.
The next class is set to begin with a welcome dinner on Friday, Sep 13, from 6-8pm. It will then meet for the next six Sunday mornings (from 8:30-9:45 each week).
If you are interested in joining this class, would like to inquire about childcare, or have any other questions, please email Ashley Eveland.
Why Discovering Orangewood?
We believe that membership at a church is different than other kinds of membership (like gyms or book clubs). Church membership involves mutual commitments in the form of serious vows – both to Christ and to a body of believers. Because we believe that becoming a member is a serious commitment, we want you to know what you’re getting into. Discovering Orangewood is designed to take an in-depth look at what we believe here at Orangewood and what it means to commit to this local church.
However, Discovering Orangewood really is a “discovering” process— and there is absolutely no obligation or any pressure to join. As an exploration, it also means that all honest questions are good questions. This class also serves as an on-ramp for participants to become actively involved in the life of the church; you will meet the leaders of our ministries and learn about a variety of ways to serve.
